Kevin Wood is the Principal of SJ Lighting and comes with more than 20 years of success and the proven ability to grow profits for Reps and lighting manufacturers in the Lighting Industry!
Fresh out of college in 1990 where he studied business administration, Kevin majored in Marketing and immediately went to work putting theory into practice for the Holophane Lighting Company. At corporate headquarters he was put thru an extensive six month lighting training program.
In 1996 Kevin started his own Lighting Rep Agency in Northeast Ohio focusing on the commercial and industrial lighting sector. The new Agency was launched with 1 line, 1 employee and one million dollars in total sales. During the course of the next ten years, he grew his company to 50 lines, 12 employees and eleven million dollars in annual sales. The Agency called on Architects, Electrical Engineers, Electrical Contractors, Distributors, Construction Managers and end-users. In 2005 Kevin sold his interests in that Agency and he now owns and opertates SJ Lighting, Inc. (SJL) SJL is a regional management company for a number of small lighting manufacturers and service oriented companies within the same business. SJL has an established rep/distributor network already existing in which to sell these various products and services that expand over eight states. SJL has a new innovative way to take lighting product to market and has had much success within the last three years.
