- LED Lighting will save energy and cost, in some applications up to 75%. LED’s make sense environmentally, but equally or more important they make sense financially.
- LED Lighting reduces maintenance (i.e. Cost) due to longer life and less relamping. LED’s provide a 70,000+ hour life cycle. That’s nearly ten years of continuous, virtually maintenance free lighting.
- LED Lighting is directional which reduce s light pollution and light trespass. Dark Skies Initiative compliant.
- The human eye can see better at night when the lighting color is weighted higher in the blue/green part of the spectrum. LED’s can do just that. Expect true colors and the appearance of cleaner, more visible light. Ideal for Downtown Retail settings in addition to Police and security/surveillance applications.
- LED’s being solid state components are difficult to damage with external shock, not so with conventional bulbs.
- LED’s do not contain mercury or any hazardous material as many conventional lighting sources. LED’s are a true “GREEN” product.
- LED Lights are ideal for use in applications that are subject to frequent on-off cycling. In addition LED’s achieve full brightness in microseconds.
- LED Lights produce more light per watt. Bulb type fixtures are only about 60% efficient in getting all that light to the target, 40% of the light is bouncing around trying to get out of the fixture when the bulb itself is blocking the opening.
- LED’s are more efficient at producing light, not heat as with conventional lighting sources. Consider air conditioned interior applications or commercial food/beverage chillers.
